Zune Strategy
The news is that the Microsoft Zune is targeted at the MP3 Player market far more cleverly than the iPod. It'll try and tap into the social networking buzz that is going around at the moment and will also try and give more voice to up and coming bands that, although find it easier to get noticed with the internet, still don't have the ability to compete fairly with the large music labels.
Microsoft's Jo Marlow told T3 that their "focus with the Zune on other forms of entertainment. We want to create a brand that encompasses ... community and discovery, as well as exploration of music and artists."
This something that we're totally in favour of. There's so many good, unknown bands out there.
