"Free" Zunes in the Future

The Zune may be following the model used by mobile phone retails and the networks by offering discounted Zunes if a user subscribes to a long-term MarketPlace contract.

This is a pretty interesting approach and may work well if the announcement is timed with the launch of the new Zune 360 and Zune 180 players this Novembe.
